Squirelly made the most confusing sequence of the draft: selling pick 1.11 to Kenny for 2.07 plus 5.07 in a class where their roster screamed for exactly one thing, a quarterback, then spending 2.07 on Chris Bell, another wide receiver. Bell is a fine prospect, a Miami X with big-play juice, and Malachi Fields at 2.11 doubles down on the type. But this is a Superflex league and the QB room is Goff (31), a rehabbing J.J. McCarthy, and Tua on his ninth concussion protocol. That is the worst QB value in LOTF by a wide margin, on a roster whose skill core (Chase, Cook, Collins, Olave, CMC) is trying to win RIGHT NOW. Oscar Delp and Eli Raridon are respectable TE darts, and the Raridon pick at 5.07 (acquired from Kenny) at least converted the trade-down into three bodies. The pieces are excellent. The puzzle is missing its corner.

THE HAUL

2.07
Chris Bell WR MIA • 1,597 SF acquired pick

Bell is good. The position is the problem. This roster is a WR museum with no one to throw to the exhibits.

2.11
Malachi Fields WR NYG • 1,307 SF

Fields is a contested-catch flyer with Giants QB chaos attached. Same note, louder.

4.11
Oscar Delp TE NO • 1,040 SF

Delp is TE2 insurance behind Strange. Fine.

5.07
Eli Raridon TE NE • 935 SF acquired pick

Raridon is a 22-year-old Patriots TE athlete. Taxi and hope.

Best pick

Chris Bell at 2.07. In a vacuum, real value: outside size, Miami opportunity, top-45 prep board standing.

Riskiest move

The 1.11 sale itself. Ty Simpson and Carson Beck were both alive at 1.11 in a league where QB is their single fatal flaw. They watched both go to rivals.

3-YEAR OUTLOOK

Win-now core, lose-now QB room, pick a lane
2026

Frisky and frustrating. Chase, Collins, Olave, and Cook will win shootouts, then Goff-plus-Tua will lose them the Superflex slot by 15 points a week. 7-7 with better vibes than results is the median outcome.

2027

Decision year arrives early. CMC is 31 and needs to be sold THIS season while the name still trades. If McCarthy comes back right, everything changes and this grade ages badly. If not, they hold a full pick sheet in the loaded 2027 QB class, and that first-round pick better be a QB.

2028

Two roads. McCarthy-or-2027-rookie hits: instant contender, Chase 28 still elite, Bell-Fields-McMillan matured. No QB hit: the league's best WR corps enters its decline phase having never had a season with a real quarterback. The whole franchise is one position away in the one format where that position is everything.

STASH WATCH

Chris Bell • Taxi. Miami gives outside receivers a runway. 2027 WR3 with WR2 spike weeks.

Isaac TeSlaa • Taxi. Detroit kept feeding him first-team spring reps. Post-hype sleeper.

Eli Raridon • Taxi. New England TE room is wide open long-term.

Quinn Ewers • Forgotten Miami stash. If Tua goes down for good, this becomes the funniest value in the league.
